ControlScan to Offer ETA Certified Payments Professional Exam Scholarships in Conjunction with Midwest Acquirers' Association Conference, July 17-18 in Chicago
ATLANTA, July 10, 2013 - ControlScan announced today that it is partnering with Field Guide Enterprises (FGE), LLC and the Electronic Transactions Association to provide two ETA Certified Payments Professional (CPP) exam scholarships in conjunction with the Midwest Acquirers' Association (MWAA) 2013 Conference, being held July 17-18 in Chicago. Independent sales organization (ISO) and merchant level sales (MLS) representatives wishing to enhance their professional posture by earning this well-respected certification can enter (or nominate a colleague) to win one of two ETA CPP exam scholarships as well as two FGE Field Guide Sales Training Program enrollments.
The ETA CPP credential is a symbol of excellence within the payments industry, signifying that a payments professional has demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to perform competently in today's complex electronic payments environment. Launched in late 2011, the ETA CPP designation has now been awarded to 584 payments industry professionals.
"Payments professionals have long recognized both the MWAA and the ETA as key to providing information and education that furthers their business and individual careers," said Greg Leos, vice president of North American sales and business development for ControlScan. "We're proud to work with these organizations, as well as Field Guide Enterprises, to give two industry professionals a chance at earning the ETA CPP designation."
"ETA Certified Payments Professionals possess an important knowledge base of industry best practices and standards," said Mark Dunn, owner of Field Guide Enterprises. "The MWAA Conference and Field Guide programs help payments professionals continue to grow and adapt to industry trends, and scholarships for the ETA CPP exam bring added value to these continuing education initiatives."
MWAA 2013 attendees can apply for the ControlScan/FGE scholarships in person at ControlScan exhibit booth GS20, or they can nominate someone who is not in attendance. Winners will be chosen at random and must complete the ETA CPP exam and the Field Guide Sales Training Program within two years of approval. Complete rules and qualification requirements will be provided at the MWAA event. For detailed information about the ETA CPP examination, please visit www.electran.org/cpp.
