Position Description:

The Business Development role uses inbound and outbound sales and marketing contact activities to target market segments positioning Managed Security and Security Consulting Services. This position performs front end sales activities including initiating prospect relationships, enlightening and educating market segment buyers and connecting them with the ControlScan Field Sales team.

Position Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work closely with our customers and across our internal organization to accomplish the following:

  • Initiate, maneuver, maintain and master on-going relationships with each target segment buyer
  • Understand target buyer business, information security and compliance environment
  • Communicate a clear a technical acumen and understanding to each prospect
  • Intuitively and proactively enlighten prospect thought process for security and compliance best practice and enable escalation to the appropriate Field Sales team resources
  • Position and align ControlScan capabilities to each prospect best business interests and challenges
  • Grow incremental revenues in assigned territory by identifying potential Managed Security Services and Security Consulting Services opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2 years of experience in direct sales/inside sales/lead generation and/or college graduate with desire for career in professional sales
  • Strong ability and awareness to grasp complex compliance and security sales processes and position effectively to prospects
  • Drive, ability and passion to conduct outbound telephone activities on an everyday basis
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them quickly and accurately
  • Proven path of self-motivation and self-discipline with top performing career objectives and standards
  • Achieve higher levels of technical and compliance knowledge through continual learning and observation
