The 2013 ControlScan/TransFirst Mobile Payment Acceptance Survey uncovered these trends in the Level 4 merchant space:
- Merchants who track mobile purchases on their website report that mobile site visitors represent a large portion of online sales.
- As many as two-thirds of respondents conducting e-commerce do not have a mobile optimized website.
- There has been a 70% increase in the number merchants who say they use a smartphone or tablet to accept credit card payments.
