A "Perfect Storm" of Complacency: The Third Annual Survey of Level 4 Merchant PCI Compliance Trends
In November 2011, ControlScan completed its third annual survey of Level 4 merchant trends and attitudes regarding compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This year’s survey, conducted in association with Merchant Warehouse, collected responses from 621 Level 4 merchants.
Three key findings from the survey indicate that merchants have a “What? Me Worry?” attitude with regard to sensitive cardholder data:
The survey did reveal some small steps of progress compared to last year.
